I have to say, one of my favorite grunge bands of all time has to be the one coming out of Canada called Nickelback. With songs like “Someday”, “How You Remind Me”, “Savin Me”, and “Far Away”, throughout the years I have become a huge fan. The other day my girlfriend surprised me with Nickelback Tickets as an early birthday gift and, Oh boy, how I was so thankful! If you have never been to a Nickelback show then I would suggest to anyone who has an affinity for grunge music to go and check out their show. Chad Kroeger’s voice sounds great live and the band just completely rocks the house. It was definitely a concert to remember. I love many different styles of music but throughout the past decade and a half, Grunge music has really grown on me, which brings me to another one of my favorite grunge groups called Oasis.
Achieving stardom in 1994, the band Oasis became one of Britain’s most popular and critically acclaimed bands of the decade. It wasn’t until the end of the 90’s until I had discovered who they were or listened to their music. Thanks to some friends of mine who had bought Oasis Tickets for us to go see them, unknowingly, I became a huge fan. I got to say that I respect the groups originality and unique style of musical phrasing. Here are few songs to check out that are some of my favorites from the band Oasis, songs like “Wonderwall”,”Champagne Supernova”,”Half the World Away”,and “Morning Glory”. With his uncredited role in Hot Fuzz, Actor/Comedian Steve Coogan is one stand up show that you do not want to miss. Although it has been almost a decade since he has done his stand up routine, he has announced that he will be starting up a tour in 2008. He has been in films such as, Night at the Museum, Octavius, Shaun of the Dead, Coffee and Cigarettes, and also, having a small role in the brand new film(Ideas For Making Short Films) Tropic Thunder. He has mainly been recognized for his most famous creation/character Alan Partridge which you have seen him in The Day Today, Knowing Me, and I’m Alan Partridge. I tell you, I am really excited to see him back in the stand up circuit.
